Hello.  I’m the mother of 3 little boys.  I love each one of them with all my heart.  But why didn’t someone tell me it would be like this?  It all seems so easy and natural when other people have babies.  But, let me tell you, there’s a dirty little secret.  You can’t possibly imagine what to expect when you’re expecting.  No one tells you the real truth about how it all feels…emotionally.  Having a person (with a case of the hiccups) inside your body?  That’s not normal.  Breastfeeding a baby boy who bears a strong resemblance to your mother?  That made me uncomfortable.  Feeling overwhelming love, fear, pride and &#%$ing bonkers all in one moment?  Now, that’s normal.   Join me in my sometimes horrifying, usually embarrassing, often funny (after the fact) odyssey (in my Honda Odyssey, of course!) as I stumble through motherhood.
